The employees were nestled all snug at their desks,
While visions of neatly labeled files danced in their heads.
And the boss with the packing list, and I in my cap,
Had just finished making labels and went down to wrap.

When out in the lot there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my work to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like arc flash,
Quickly read the label to properly open shutters and sash.

Our sign in the middle of the new-fallen snow
Gave directions and guidance to our office milieu.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a safety-marked sleigh, and eight ID’d reindeer.

And a bright green label circled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,

Adhesive fabric tape for clothing and textile labeling, additional sizes of black on silver matte for asset management and new heat-shrink tube colors for wire/cable/electrical/datacom/IT have been added.

Fabric iron-on tapes

Four sizes and two colors of adhesive iron-on fabric tape cartridges include 3/8” (9mm) and ½” (12 mm) black on blue iron-on tape and black on pink iron-on tape. The iron-on fabric labels are designed to work with all K-Sun thermal transfer printers for textile identification, institutional clothing and supplies, school and work uniforms, children’s clothing and items and more.

Silver matte tapes

Black on silver matte adhesive tape now includes 3/8” (9mm), ½” (12mm) and 1” (24mm) in addition to the existing ¾” (18mm) silver matte tape. Black on silver matte is designed for bar code, asset management and property protection/inventory for warehouses, plants, libraries, labs, offices and other facilities. It is designed for a wide variety of surface materials and can withstand extreme temperatures, abrasion and pressure. Silver matte is the optimal choice to use with bar code readers.

Heat-shrink tube cartridges

Black on green and black on blue 3/16” shrink tube cartridges have been added to K-Sun LABELShop line of shrink tube cartridges in black on red, yellow and white in ¼”, 3/16”, 3/8” and ½” sizes. Heat-shrink tube marking is popular for wire/cable industries, electricians and electrical installers, datacom/IT/telecom engineers, technicians, installers and other industries.

1. Use the Labeler for Inspiration in Organizing at Work, Home
Sometimes it’s simply about getting the tool to get inspired (99% inspiration; 1% perspiration!). For inspiration to take hold, label and organize something simple, like a few files at your desk, a portion of the tool crib in the plant, a few shelves in the lunchroom, or a storage area in the garage. You’ll find that labeling jumpstarts your organization projects.

2. Label the Label Printer
Put a label on the label printer so it doesn’t disappear. This coveted tool might ‘walk’ away from your workspace. Encourage labeling at work/home by making a label for the label printer that says “Yes! Use the labeler but return to (person/place).”

3. Use Design Consistency in Labeling Projects
Your job will look professional with a consistent design and distinctive look (think branding)—font style, type size, tape color, tape width, borders, and graphics. If you choose not to save the design to memory (see No. 5), then make a project template label for your files with the design variables so as to quickly recreate more labels.

4. Preview Your Label Before Printing
This simple step can save you time and money. By simply selecting the “preview” button on a K-Sun label printer before you hit “print,” you can review your label, check spelling, and see how it will appear on the tape width.

5. Save Designs that You Will Use Again
Save the design to the printer’s memory if you’ve spent considerable time on your label design or if you will use the design again. It’s a snap to recall the design, edit text and print additional labels using the basic design you’ve saved. Depending on the model, K-Sun label printers can store from 4 to 99 label files and up to 5,000 characters in memory.

6. Consider Making an Extra Label
You might discover during application that you have a need for an extra label for an additional surface, piece of equipment, cable or storage area. For example, you can label the tab of a file folder plus the top of the folder, so files can be identified no matter how they are stacked.

7. Turn Off Auto-Cut if Making Multiple or a Series of Labels
If making a series of labels or using the repeat printing function, turn off auto-cut to save tape. Use the manual cut function when you are finished printing your labels, and then simply cut between each label using a scissors to save on labeling tape. Designed for maximum tape savings, the K-Sun GREEN MACHINE® has six variable margin settings for margins as little as 1 mm on each side of your text, providing the best tape savings (and cost savings) compared with similar printers.

8. Use Color and/or Symbols for Better Visual Communication

9. Prevent Label Curl and Peel
